How Christ Heals What Shame WoundedShame does not heal by pretending it never happened. It does not heal by trying harder, feeling differently, or getting your act together. It heals because Someone absorbed it. On the cross, Jesus was not just bearing sin in some invisible spiritual transaction — He was publicly stripped, mocked, and humiliated in the most degrading form of execution ever designed. He did not avoid shame. He walked straight into it. For you.
In this episode, Raymond Smith gets personal about something that is still happening right now — not decades ago. The Monday morning voices that show up every single week telling him that Disciple Blueprint will never amount to anything, that nobody is reading or listening, that he is fooling himself. Those voices are forty years old. They just found a new topic. And some nights, working alone at his desk at seven in the evening, he starts to believe them.
This episode is about what keeps him going anyway — and what Hebrews 12:2 says about a Savior who understands shame from the inside because He chose to walk through it first.
Key Scriptures:Hebrews 12:2 — He endured the cross, disregarding its shameMatthew 25:21 — Well done, good and faithful servant
